The EMILI geologists mobilised to welcome visitors for the "Heritage Days 2023"!
For the national Heritage Days, nearly 70 visitors came to discover with their families the EMILI Project and the kaolin quarry.
For the 2023 national Heritage Days, Imerys and the local Museum Wolframines associated to propose a discovery of the local geological heritage with an exceptional visit of the Imerys Kaolin quarry and a presentation of the lithium extraction project EMILI.
6 groups of 10 to 12 people were guided by the geologists of EMILI Project who answered their questions about lithium, ecological transition, extraction process. All were very interested in the way the Project will ensure preservation of the environment.

The EMILI project has just taken a new step with the decision of the CNDP to organize a public debate in a few months.
The progress of the EMILI project has enabled Imerys to enter a new phase: the referral of the project to the French National Commission of Public Debate (Commission Nationale du Débat Public – CNDP). This independent body's mission is to inform citizens about projects with an environmental impact and to involve them in debates. Imerys is delighted to have entered this phase, which will enable it to continue its discussions with the public on issues pertaining to the EMILI project.
On Thursday, June 1, 18 schoolchildren between 8 and 10 years old were invited to take a unique field trip: a two-hour educational tour of the Beauvoir site.
